Scanning
Fast, reliable, and easy-to-use access control with an Android app,
running on a smartphone or a dedicated scanning device.
The Ticketmatic scanning app scans quickly and reliably, including in situations where internet connectivity is poor or even absent. The app is intuitive and user-friendly, so even novices can start scanning right away. Dedicated scanner hardware increases speed even further. (For limited volumes, however, you can stick to a smartphone.)
Regular PDF or wallet tickets are easy to duplicate or fake, so to avoid fraud, you will want to verify the validity of your customers' tickets by scanning them. Many scanning applications are rather limited and require full connectivity to a stable network to work properly. Unfortunately, this connectivity can be a problem during events (on location), resulting in scanner downtime or invalid tickets that go unnoticed.
To guarantee smooth access control, Ticketmatic has developed a dedicated Android scanning app that keeps on working uninterruptedly, even when the internet connection drops. This is achieved by storing all valid barcodes locally on the scanning device before the scanning session starts. As long as internet connectivity is fine, all scanners sync continuously. Without connectivity, the scanner switches to stand-alone mode and will resync as soon as the internet connection restores.
For high-performance scanning, you can combine the Ticketmatic scanning app with specific scanning hardware. However, when you want to scan a limited number of tickets or when you want to add a device temporarily, you can stick to a smartphone and just use the built-in camera to scan your tickets.
The Ticketmatic scanning app is straightforward to use, making it easy to scan tickets even for people without practical experience. No training is required
The integration between the scanning app and the Ticketmatic back office means the app will synchronize continuously with Ticketmatic's servers. This way, you can use multiple scanners simultaneously and monitor all scanning activity in real-time.
